The briefing was to create an overall design identity, in which all existing and new system components could be combined in coherent system configurations. Each system configuration should look like a unity. This required ultimate modularity in both technical and visual design. The result was a complete range of high quality systems, were the attention to every detail was clearly noticeable. The top technology was made visible by the quality of the design. This characteristic design identity has helped to communicate Sparks technical excellence, and contributed to position the company as a major player in the world-wide market of sample preparation.
The design challenge was to achieve a contemporary design style, easy to apply to additional future components, and remaining its innovative appearance.
